Overtime

Got some overtime this week. We had to update a piece of equipment with a new modification. It is something used to control the radios and it's power supply was so old that we couldn't get parts for it anymore. So the mod was basically to change out the old power supply with a new one. Unfortunately it could only be done when the control tower was closed. Which meant a late night for me. It took us about 6 hours to get it completed but it went pretty smoothly. I was worried because the computer used to interface with this piece of equipment is so old that it actually boots from 3.5 floppies. Everything turned out well in the end. Got home after 1am and went back into work again at 7am. I'm tired but I'm glad for the overtime.
