but the alternative is dead so I'll take this.

Stayed home from work today. Don't need to be at work when I have these nasty coughing fits. The codeine cough syrup helps some but hopefully this will be gone by Monday so I can be functional at work. New allergy medicines seem to help some.
In the continuing story of getting old sucks. I've been trying to get used to my new glasses. I got diagnosed with astigmatism in my left eye the correction in the glasses takes some getting used to. Since my eye has been self correcting for years it doesn't want to stop which makes things look weird. Tables seem to curve upwards, circular plates look like ovals other weird things. It's getting better with time.
I was put on insulin to better control my diabetes yesterday and it seems to be doing its job in bringing my blood sugars down.

This month is usually the busiest month of the year for work. Since I work outside sometimes, because thats were the equipment is, this is when we schedule most of our outside preventive maintenance also known as Pm's. Its also the time of year for the outside construction projects. We have a roof replacement starting in a couple of weeks, a lighted landing system upgrade and a replacement DC bus in the control tower. So I'm going to be a busy camper this year.
I've also started exercising more I'm trying to lose some weight before World Con this year. I really don't want to wander around on the convention floor in pain all the time like I have at some of the comic conventions I've been to in the last few years.

Haven't had much to say lately. I stopped taking my diabetic drug Actos. It was causing me to gain weight fast. I've been off of it a week and have lost about 3.5 pounds. I was wondering why I kept gaining weight while actually getting more exercise. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it in a couple of weeks.

Comic meeting today and its also Super Bowl day too.

I was trying to remember what someone on my friends list said about eating Dark Chocolate to stop a cough. Just did a little Google search and found what I was looking for and a whole lot more. I think I might really need to eat more dark chocolate a lot of its effects would be helpful for bringing my blood pressure down a little. They only trouble is I don't really like dark chocolate that much, way too bitter. I may try some of the studies suggested amounts to see if it has any effect over a month period of time. Now to find some of the right kind of chocolate.
